Hony D40A
Hony D40A is a stable polymer produced by the copolymerization of dimethicone and polyalkylene oxide ether, with 100% active content and free from emulsifiers or solvents. It can be directly dissolved in cold water. With a refractive index of 1.450-1.455 and a viscosity range of 250-450 mPa.s, it offers a softer conditioning profile and remains stable in aqueous systems.
Excellent Water Solubility: Dissolves directly in cold water without emulsifiers for simple and efficient processing.
Silky Conditioning: The moderate viscosity range (250-450 mPa.s) effectively improves wet combability, leaving hair soft and smooth without weighing it down.
Foam Enrichment: Produces dense, stable foam, just like the D40B variant.
Multi-Functional Benefits: Functions as a humectant, emollient, and co-emulsifier in skincare, providing a lighter moisturizing sensation.
Gentle Care: The lower refractive index leads to a softer film formation, ideal for formulations seeking a natural shine and lightweight texture.
Hony D40A is particularly well-suited for products demanding a lightweight, non-greasy conditioning feel.
Suggested Dosage: 1.0% - 10.0% for both rinse-off and leave-on products.
Primary Applications:
Hair Care: Perfect for 2in1 shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in products where a lightweight, silky feel is desired.
Body Care: Used in shower gels and facial cleansers to improve foam quality while providing a soft skin feel.
Skin Care: Preferred as a humectant and co-emulsifier in skincare formulations, offering a comfortable, non-oily feel.
Key Use Cases: Best suited for formulations requiring medium viscosity, a light film-forming feel, and excellent wet combability.
Appearance: Colorless transparent to semi-transparent amber liquid.
Refractive Index (25°C): 1.450 - 1.455
Viscosity (25°C): 250 - 450 mPa.s
Density: 1.05 - 1.09 g/cm³
Ionic Nature: Non-ionic.
Storage & Shelf Life: Store in a cool, dry place with the container sealed. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures. Shelf life is 24 months under normal storage conditions.
